We headed back to our pack dejected. We had finally made love to them; it was incredible. It was like every nerve was electrified and our bond was growing exponentially. How could they refuse us, refuse to take their place as the Luna of our pack? It fucking hurt. Sage was just as confused and miserable as I was. Luckily, we didn't tell anyone we had found our mates so there was nothing to explain when we returned.

"They didn't reject us," Roman, my wolf, spoke for the first time since we left Wild Spirit.

"Yea, well they didn't accept us either and that sure as hell feels just as bad."

"They are alphas, we just asked them to abandon their pack," He argued back.

"It's their destiny to be with us, not to be alphas!" I yelled out loud, running my hands through my hair.

I could see Sage struggling with his wolf too. We were in our office and thankfully out of the pack's prying eyes. We knew they sensed something was wrong with their Alphas. My heart felt like it was breaking. Roman wouldn't stop howling for Dominic. Sage's wolf wasn't even speaking coherent sentences. By dinner time, I felt nothing. I didn't want to eat; I just waited for sleep to overtake me. As soon as I was on the cusp of sleep, I began sweating.

"Fuck, not now," I groaned.

Usually, this was a welcome and pleasurable distraction, but right now, it just felt like salt in a wound. I was hoping this shit would be over after we mated. It was fucking torture, like dangling the most exotic fruit in our face, but snatching it away before we had a true taste of it. We had a sample, but we didn't savor it, and now it's quite possible we would never get to taste those sweet pussies again. The more I thought about it, the more pissed and resentful I got.

"Yo man, I can't deal with this shit. We need to get laid, or it will never end," I told Sage.

"Reina?"

"If we open that door, she will think she has a shot at being Luna," I replied.

"Doesn't she though, it's not like our mates want the job," he replied dejectedly.

"Reina, come to our room... now." I mind linked her.

"Sure, Alpha," she purred through the link.

As soon as she knocked on the door, I pulled her through nipping and licking her neck. Sage came up behind her, his hands groping her tits and sucking on her shoulder.

"Please alphas, take me," she moaned.

So, we did.

We fell asleep with Reina in between us, the fever abated, and our wolves completely absent.

I awoke suddenly wondering what the hell I was feeling. Sage was already up as well. Reina kept asking us what was wrong. I ignored her, gripping my hair so tightly, strands began to fall. Reina scrambled out of the door, looking for help, and then our mother, father, and beta burst into the room looking for enemies.
